This module evaluates key methodologies employed in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies together with systems and techniques for strategy implementation, including quality, cost and lead time. This module covers the elements of Coherence and Consolidation of the 6Cs curriculum design. It is an all-encompassing module that looks at the development and implementation of supply chain strategies, allowing students to understand the strategic role of supply chain management in a progressive way while reinforcing knowledge gained from previous modules. The GAME+ attributes emphasised in this module are: Influence and Impact, and Critical Creativity and Innovation.

Skills 102: This module will further support the development of key academic skills required for degree level study and at the same time develop an understanding of academic integrity and the implications of academic misconduct. You will undertake research and present your findings verbally and in writing. The GAME attributes covered in this module are - effective communicator and self-aware

This module enhances students’ knowledge and understanding of the physical aspects of bringing products and services to market through the supply chain. Students will analyse key activities of the supply chain; transformation, transportation, storage and distribution – and learn to specify supply chain architectures, specifying locations, capacities, transportation requirements, etc. Key aspects include the operation of inventory management systems, appraising and comparing supply chain improvement proposals and investments from a cost/benefit perspective, planning and managing expenditure, and being aware of health and safety issues relevant to supply chain management. This module covers the elements of Contemporary and Choice of the 6Cs curriculum design. It explores modern and practical approach to the physical supply chain management (Contemporary). This is implemented by allowing students to select certain a topic area(s) for critical evaluation (Choice). The GAME+ attributes emphasised in this module are: Critical Creativity and Innovation, and Professional Identity.

This module aims to enhance students’ expertise and understanding of the procurement process, and operations management. In doing so, it will assist students to critically understand the context and significance of procurement and operations management in the supply chain, allowing them to evaluate typical procurement and operations management processes, and specify appropriate processes for given situations. This module covers the elements of Contemporary and Choice of the 6Cs curriculum design. It equips students with the knowledge and skills to deploy modern and robust sourcing, purchasing and procurement strategies and tactics in acquiring goods and/or services in meeting the needs of businesses (Contemporary) by means of selecting an organisation of their choice as a context of critical evaluation (Choice). The GAME+ attributes emphasised in this module are: Influence and Impact, and Critical Self-Management.

This module will provide you with a sound understanding of key concepts in academic writing and help you to develop the practical skills necessary for successful study in Higher Education. You will look at finding, understanding and using appropriate academic resources. You will then focus on how to incorporate ideas from your reading into essays and reports using quotations, paraphrases and references. Other areas covered by the module are conventions of academic style and register, presenting ideas clearly and coherently in oral and written assessments, and planning/proofreading/presenting work for submission.
