Geospatial Surveying forms an important role throughout the digitalisation of all stages of a construction project from inception - the production of complete & accurate 3D site models (from which comprehensive design plans and sections are produced), through design, to monitoring construction progress and potentially establishing early deviation from design. This module introduces and develops the concepts of control and detail surveying as well as stake-out procedures, employing both Terrestrial Positioning System (TPS) and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) technologies. It demonstrates the application of geospatial engineering processes to construction design and development. The following GAME attributes will be developed and assessed in this module: problem-solver, effective communicator, and confident.
