In this module, you will explore the fundamentals of engineering design, from the conceptual stage to the final product. You will learn how to use graphical methods and computer models to present you ideas clearly and convincingly. You will also learn how to evaluate different design options based on criteria such as quality, cost, performance, reliability and environmental impact. You will gain hands on experience with a 3D modelling software package that is widely used in the engineering industry. You will also develop your teamwork skills by collaborating with other students on a group design project. This module will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed as an engineer.
