Major Disruption to University Internet connection on Sunday 27th November
Sunday 27th November 10am onwards till approx. 5pm
The University firewall will be replaced on Sunday and the University Internet connection will be increased to 10Gbits. During the switch over and testing time there will be no internet services and the following will not be reachable.
- Internet from the University network (including via Resnet and Library computers)
- Library Catalogue
- University Website
- Moodle
- Turnitin from Moodle
- VPN and remote connection to University computers
- apps.bolton.ac.uk remote connection
- Email send and receive
- Connection to UTC Bolton and UTC Bolton services
We apologise for the disruption. This work is critical and has already been rescheduled a number of time to minimise the disruption to University activities. As this is a major change it is possible there may be residual problems over the early part of next week. Engineers will be on site to resolve any that arise.
