BME5008-24-UOB-A Biomechatronics and Medical Devices

In this module, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of product design, systems, modelling, and prototyping as applied to medical devices. You will investigate how elements such as biological, electrical, electronic, mechanical, computer, and control, are applied in the context of biomedical systems. You will also explore aspects such as material compatibility, production, manufacturing, and potential recycling. It will additionally develop your knowledge and skills required for designing new medical devices and processes, and prepare you for potential careers in the medical device supply chain, in research laboratories, in government agencies, and in higher education. This module teaches and assesses C3, C5, C6, C13 and C15, and develops C1, C2, C4, C8,C10 and C12 of the AHEP4 for CEng.
