Welcome to LAW7032 - Public International Law. 

The module is delivered by Dr. George Forji Amin

This module covers on first instance, the main concepts and principles of public international law (PIL) such as the nature and sources of international law, the law of treaties, international legal personality, jurisdiction and immunities, State responsibility, the use of force and the procedures for peaceful settlement of disputes.

The module further engages specialised branches of the discipline such as the Law of Treaties, the law of the sea, International Economic Law,  international humanitarian law , Environmental Law, and investment arbitration. 

Students would be expected to synthesise complex principles, solve legal problems and analyse contemporary issues relating to public international law.
