Through this module you will begin to identify and engage with your career aspirations. You will learn about photographic careers within a global industry, context will be provided through the introduction of current industry working modes. A key aim of the module is to prepare you for an individual trajectory into photography (and related fields) as a profession and to prepare you for a work experience placement. The module will investigate a range of current photographic pathways through, lectures, research visits, guest speakers and group discussion. It will also act as a platform for you to market yourself in print and on the internet, and ask you to engage with a range of outward-facing opportunities including competitions, client-led briefs and meeting professional practitioners. This module will introduce you to legal and ethical considerations for professional photographers within a work-based setting, and facilitate the opportunity of working with others on a collaborative publication.
