This module studies how business enterprises can integrate their operations over the Internet. You will study the implementation of a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) which is a set of principles and methodologies for designing and developing software in the form of interoperable services. The services are created as software components which define business functions. At the heart of SOA are web services that allow one company to request functionality offered by a second company leading to the integration of their web-based, business operations.
