The aim of this module is to develop a wide range of drawing and painting skills, essential to provide a sound basis for your future portfolio. The ability to record and creatively use a wide variety of traditional media and new digital technologies is a fundamental skill for surface pattern and textile designers. You will explore a broad and adventurous approach to drawing, colour mixing and mark making; and to examine the creative potential of the computer to produce surface pattern design artwork and visualisations.
