The module provides a focus on the inter-relationships of sport, business and international development. The global growth of the sport industry has prompted the requirements for professional and commercial management of sports businesses. Students will critically evaluate the role of sociology, geography, philosophy, anthropology and culture by comparing various national and international organisations approaches to social policy and conflict resolution. This module may allow international study and/or field trips. This module serves to develop employability skills, in line with the university’s Graduate Attribute Matrix for Employability (GAME), with particular emphasis on the following attributes: Global Citizen, Enterprising and Self Aware.
