FIA5020-20-UOB-F Fine Art . Themes Theories and Practice

This module considers current themes and associated theories evident in contemporary art from an international perspective. You will examine these both practically and intellectually through a number of short projects and a seminar presentation. The module will encourage you to develop an investigative and analytical approach to theory and practice in your own work and that of others. The module aims to foster a reflective and evaluative approach to new developments emerging in your own creative practice, to enable you to develop a personal language.

This module will be an important precursor for the Fine Art: Promotion and Exhibition module of Semester 2, in which it is expected that the practical outcomes of this module will form an important starting point for the end of year exhibition of that module.
